Toddler & Kids Yoga

Private Nursery and School classes available from £30.

Suitable from Pre-school to age 8.

Classes cover a range of poses and games which with typically include-

​

• Yoga journeys • Animals sounds and poses • Storey time yoga • Yoga games • Singing • Team work • Bonding • Breathing techniques • Mindfulness and relaxation

 

The main focus of all Yogi Dots classes is to have FUN!!!

 

The way I explain what yoga is to children - “This is a way for us to check in with ourselves, our mind, body and feelings to see what we might need today to make us feel happy. Do we want to be a lion, a tree, the ocean or a shooting star? We can be whatever we set our minds too, without limits.”

 

Yoga is great to start from any age, it improves strength, flexibility, balance and co-ordination as we grow and develop to balance the body and mind. It also teaches us important life lessons such as self-control, emotional resilience, body awareness, confidence, relaxation and stress relief in a fun and relaxed way.

Baby Massage

Suitable from 4 weeks until babies are on the move.

Each week we will cover a new area of the body to massage including-

​

1. Legs & Feet

2. Tummy, recap on legs & feet

3. Chest, Arms, Head & Face, recap Tummy

4. Back, recap chest, arms, head & face, tummy

5. Full body massage

Baby massage has many benefits including, aiding circulation, digestion and helping to ease colic or reflux. Helping to develop co-ordination, body awareness and brain development. It is also relaxing for both babies and parents whilst encouraging bonding and helping to reduce stress which can also promote deeper and longer sleep. We will also cover strokes to aid nasal congestion and teething discomfort.

 

Each class will include a parent stretch and end with a relaxation meditation to leave you feeling energised and relaxed for the rest of the day.

Baby Yoga

Suitable from 8 weeks  to crawling

(12 weeks postpartum for Mum's following a c-section delivery)

 

Each week we will cover a range of moves which will typically involve-

 

• Parent warm up

• Baby dry massage warm up

• Hip sequence

• Arm sequence

• Balances

• Swings

• Tummy time

Baby yoga has endless benefits, it helps with balance, coordination & motor skills, aids respiration & digestion, strengthens the body & develops reflexes. It stimulates the brain & nervous system, improves blood flow & general functioning of the immune system. As well as encouraging bonding, trust and social interaction help babies to reduce their frustration as they develop from one stage to the next.

 

Each class will also include a parent stretch and end with a relaxation meditation to leave you feeling energised and relaxed for the rest of the day.
